Measurement

The FBP tester measures:
- Largest pore (First Bubble Point)
The FBP defines the largest pores present inside the material. ASTM F-316 defines the FBP as the pressure at which the first continuous stream of bubbles are detected.
- Calculated first bubble point: FBP defined as the pressure required to reach a certain target flow through the sample when displacing a wetting liquid
- Measured first bubble point: FBP defined as the pressure required to create a certain deviation for a certain linear pressure increase
